SPA-3000 + Vonage soft phone in India

Hi,
I have been reading the discussion forum a while. I am trying to buy SPA-300 and connect it to Vonage softphone in India. If guys who have successfully been able to get this working in India, I would appreciate if you can post the config.

I would like to be able to call from USA to India and vice versa.

Why vonage, use one of the free providers like FWD(IPKALL) or stanaphone. Unless you are going to use the VOIP-PSTN gateway, you donot need a SPA 3K, you can go for a cheaper ATA, like the SPA 1001. Yeah, these things work perfectly from India.

yup no issues with voip+pstn, know of two different installations in india
use ipkall.com if you want to use a regular phone in the US. Though IP to IP keeps it a little clearer.

Can ypu please let me know the SPA-3000 settings that worked in India.
only the Voip-to-PSTN gateway settings.

hi,

can a dial up modem line be attached to spa3k in India and be enabled for direct IP to IP call using FWD/IPKall?

Hi Slick,
Pretty straight forward, use the VOXILLA device config wizard for configuring both the Line 1 and PSTN of the SPA 3K. Some changes you need to do is in the FXO port impedance for that check this thread

Do a search in the forum there is a quiet a bit information for India/Pakistan settings
