Default Home Security System

I was looking for alarm providers that work with my vonage phone. Turns out that traditional monitoring companies (like ADT, Brinks) often don't work with vonage. I did come across uControl (uControl: Your Connection to Home Security). They work over broadband and also have an optional cellular channel (and old-school phone line also). They were cheaper than what I was paying and have some pretty cool features like notifications (email, SMS) when the system is armed/disarmed. Also have remote arming and disarming. They have a device that just attached to my current system. I have had them for a few months.

For what its worth, I have been real happy with them.

At the Voxilla office, we use NextAlarm.

NextAlarm has been a player in the Home Security over Internet space for a long time.

They are also running a free monitoring deal - NextAlarm Offers Free IP Alarm Service.
