Xorcom presents its new “Not for Resale” (NFR) Asterisk appliances specially targeted at the Asterisk training organizations market. These low cost units provide Asterisk students with the opportunity to study and practice using Xorcom products as part of their training course.

Following are the advantages of using the Astribank USB channel banks for Asterisk training:
a.Astribank is integrally supported by Zaptel.
b.Since Astribank is a USB device, students can plug, unplug and change units without the need to shut down the Asterisk machine and open the computer panels, like they would have to do with PCI telephony interfaces.
c.A single Astribank XR0030 allows the student to become familiar with the operation of FXS, FXO and I/O (Input and Output ports for peripheral devices).
d.Astribank has auto-detection and configuration for an easy 3-minute PBX setup. Later, more complex configurations may be practiced.
