Smile Pakistan call cheap & great

Talkinip is the best in rates and quality. Its rate for Pakistan is 0.0437 a minute. If you talk half minute, they charge 2 cents. You can configure any ATA device to use a regular phone or download a softphone. Best of all its an American company; not foreign based. GA based Live & real phone support is available 24 hours. Its available on www.talkinip.net. No 911 access.

VoIPraider charge 7 cents to call Mobile and 5 cents for calling Landline in Pakistan. Calling U.S., Canada, some European and other destinations are free. Its a foreign based Betamax company. No phone or email support, no access to them, no credits for unconnected calls and no refunds. For great call quality you dont neet to contact them.

Usually people pay between $30-40 a month for a DID. Your family can call you free without paying this. Sign up with tpad.com. They have 33 local numbers for major cities of Pakistan. Give the local number to your family/friends in Pakistan
so they can call you free all the times. You can use their softphone but it is better to configure an ATA device so you can receive all calls on your 2nd phone without any computer. That phone will be only for incoming calls from Pakistan. You can make outgoing calls too but the rate is 15 cents a minute for Pakistan. PTCL is offering half rate on local and long distance calls on Sundays these days. Your relatives can call your Tpad local number in 33 paisa and long distance in 1 Rupee per minute on Sundays. Other days local call is 66 paisa per minute. How is Tpad call from Pakistan 33 paisa per minute, isnt it great?

Free DIDs are available on ipkall.com that can be used as a DID of your sip device. You must receive minimum one call in 30 days to keep it running. No tech support is provided but Forum.

PAKISTANIS RESIDING IN SAUDI ARABIA, UAE AND OTHER COUNTRIES WITH HIGHER CALLING RATES FOR PAKISTAN: Calling from/to Arabian countires is expensive. For a cheaper or free call, from any mobile and regular phone call 1-605-475-8515 (you may have to dial 00 before 1 for international access). After you hear a message, wait and note down the conference room number. Give 1-605-475-8515 and the conference room number to your family in Pakistan. When both of you call the same number and dialing conference room number after hearing the message, you get connected paying the rates for a U.S. call. Your more brothers and sisters from anywhere in the world can call the same numbers and join you, maxim 5 people at a time. If you want all this free, go www.gizmo5.com, download the softphone and call the same number from there. Whoever calls from phone will pay U.S. call rate and callers from computer will pay nothing. Is it not great calling Arabian countires 1-2 cents a minute or free from your computer? Then the whole scattered family in different countires can get together and talk about family matters.

Skype charge $30 per year for unlimited calls within U.S. & Canada but their rates to call Pakistan are higher as $0.143 per minute. If you are not satisfied with their any product, they refund your money. No phone support. You can purchase an Ethernet cordless Skype phone or wifi Skype phone that will work without a computer. These days they are being sold in higher prices. Netgear and Linksys brands got very low earpiece voice. Wifi phones batteries run for short time. May be Philips VoIP 841 is better. On Amazon site it is in $449 and Skype site is in $200 when it was sold months ago in $80-100 on some online stores. Keep in mind that there is no 911 access.

If your family and friends in Pakistan buy a sim for Zong Mobile and give em one U.S or Europe phone number of their relative, they can call that number 1 Rrupee per minute (around 1.25 cents) all the times. If they dial 905 from their Zong phone, they can get internet access and can use it Rs.15 per hour, the cheapest in the world. You send a link of Gizmo5 from www.gizmo5.com to their Zong cell phone. After they download, they can call your Gizmo5 free from their cell phone. They will be just paying 25 paisa per minute for using internet that is Rs.15 an hour. They can connect their cell phone to the computer too to use internet service on their Laptop or Desktop.

If a student in Pakistan gets DSL service from PTCL, will pay around Rs.840 a month including free modem with 12 months contract (regular rate is Rs.1199 a month). Then you can configure 2 ATA devices; one for you and the other for your family. Connect a regular phone with that and both can call each other unlimited 24 hours free. Want to talk live? both of you use computers.

Place one video device (like D-link) here on your TV and the other on TV in your parents home in Pakistan. Now you can participate all weddings, birthdays and discuss with them in real time (but dont do backbiting). Both should have broadbad internet.

Send a link of Gizmo5 to your family cell phone in Pakistan. After they download that, they can call your Gizmo5 free. If you have Gizmo5 on your cell phone too, you can talk cell to cell free. Both need 3G internet access from their cell providers.

Download Gtalk on your cell phone from www.google.com here and on your family cell phone in Pakistan, then talk free, airtime free. Just both of you need internet access from your cell phone service provider.

People calling from Pakistan to their relatives in U.S., Canada, Europe should call from Yahoo Voice (Yahoo Messenger) paying 1 cent a minute. (if you call from U.S. will pay 19 cent a minute). Linksys brand yahoo USB cordless phone is very cheap in around $20 on Amzon site available that can be connected to the computer. It rings on incoming calls. You can see your contacts on the phone LCD screen and connect them from this cordless phone. Earpiece voice is low and not adjustable.

CONFIGURATION: Connect your new ATA device to the router and regular phone. For your Linksys PAP2T device, pick up the phone and dial **** after the prompt dial 110, it will tell you the IP address of your device. For Grandstream HT286 dial *** after prompt dial 02 and hear the IP address. Enter the IP address in your computer browser address bar. Enter admin as username and admin as password for your HT286. PAP2T doenst require any username or password. Configure your device now.

If you configure any ATA device with any company or use a softphone, you should be aware that there is no 911 access at all or no tradional 911 access available. That can be used as an additional phone. Place a sticker on the Phone connected to the ATA device with this warning and tell all your family at home, your workers , guests, and any residents there. A PSTN regular phone should always be available for 911 traditional calls.
