Default Call generator script

I have run into an issue with one of my upstream providers and it has ultimately driven me to action. One of our providers is constantly "updating" their network which has, to date, caused a dozen service disruptions. Now, I'm checking to make sure my asterisk server is registered, and I have nagios watching both the server and my voip gateway, but the symptoms of this issue - that calls to my number report an error from my provider - can only be checked by calling my number.

Has anyone come across a call generator script? If I can generate calls to my number from a remote location and have that report the status then I should be able to generate a realistic record of service disruption. As it stands the service can cut off at 6 am and if no one calls I might not find out for 24 hours. Worse, when I contact my provider to lodge a complaint they tell me that without a record of the outage they can't compensate me.

Thanks
