Question Via-talk additional charges ?

Hi, I'm thinking of going with Via-Talk but have a few questions I need help with.

1) is soft phone a free service?

2)does it have outgoing caller ID block?

3) If I choose a month by month for a trial can I switch to the full year with one year free? or is this for a first time use sign up promotional.

4) any promo code available ?

Thank You,HammerHeadHank

Default Re: Via-talk additional charges ?

1. Soft phone is free. If you sign up for BYOD account you basically get SIP credentials. They have configuration instructions for soft phones on their website
2. Yes, you can disable/enable outgoing CID using customer portal.
3. Full year deal is only for new signups... but hey, you get 2 years for 229 (price went up recently)
4. You can PM me for referral discount. I'll give you details in email.

We use it, we set it up for some of our customers. So far it's pretty good except maintenance downtime now and then.
Unfortunately if you're on BYOD account you cant just automatically re-route to a different server. When you get their ATA though it does dynamically re-route.
Also, with BYOD you get 2 channels so you can have 2 simultaneous conversations going.

Val
