Default Looking for a working ViaTalk configuration for the wizard

If someone can send us a working ViaTalk configuration, we can add ViaTalk to the Voxilla Device Configuraiton Wizard.

I used the configuration wizard to set up my linksys PAP2-NA last night. Everything worked except I could not use touch tone activated systems (like viatalk's voicemail) from the phone. I had to change the setting "DTMF Tx Method" to anything other than 'Auto'. I am currently using "DTMF Tx Method" set to 'InBand' and it works, but it also worked set as 'AVF' or 'INFO'. I do not know what the differences are in these settings, I just tried each.

teh_chris,

Did you have to change the DTMF Tx Method to get your configuration working?

no, all i changed was the area code in the wizard's dial plan (the first option).

other than that i let the wizard do everything

i can dial out and receive calls just fine. i have run it twice, once with my temporary number from viatalk when i started service with them (three weeks ago), and again when my lingo number ported over (last night).

i haven't messed with the voicemail yet (just go the new config last nite) so i will see if that is working when i get home tonite.

the speed dial codes return a busy signal, but since my temporary number is still listed on my viatalk account page, so i would imagine the problem is with that.

i have an spa 1001.

i finally got a chance to test the voicemail out and mine doesn't work, regardless of the DTMF Tx Method i choose. i submitted a ticket to viatalk and i will see what they have to say.

viatalk helped me get my setup working.

my problem wasn't with the DTMF Tx (tho, viatalk told me to use INBAND)

my problem was with the dial plan.

this is the one they told me to use:

Quote:
(*xx.|[3469]11S0|0|<:1513>[2-9]xxxxxx|[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|1[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|011x.)
that one works fine and my speed dials work along with the voicemail. the 513 is my area code.
