Question Can Via-Talk & BYOD be used as standalone

Hi, can I use my BYOB device linsky 3102 and via-talk as a standalone? Or do I have to have a trixbox to use it to place calls over both pots and broad band?also can I place two calls simultaneously?I understand that the BYOD account with VIA-Talk provides two channels?

Thank You,
HammerHeadHank

Yes, you can use it this way. No need for any servers. Just configure SPA3102 per instructions from linksys forum (depending on how you wnat to set it up)

Should work fine, as long as you get the setup correct. I know I've used my SPA3000 (the forerunner of the SPA-3102) with ViaTalk BYOD for well over a year, without problems.

Thank you everyone for your replies.I have another question If I decide to use a trixbox in the future can I just use the same account or do I have to use a different one? I would think that I would just reconfigure my Linsky 3102 to interface with the trixbox setup,Am I correct?

Thank you
HammerHeadHank

You're correct. You'll just setup VT account on trixbox and configure linksys unit
