    I was wondering that myself. I was supposed to return this phone but it's sitting under my desk at work still. Might have to put it back onto my Asterisk box at some point....

    I would double check your configs, if you followed the directions here you should be working without issue. I have the same phone with the same config working.

    Just to be certain, to get the phone working you need to edit the extension that the phone is using by changing the "dtmfmode=" to "auto" in the sip.conf file. That is all. Nothing more. Correct?

    hmmm still won't register

    I've got the 'G' version of the UIP 1868, but for the life
    of me I cannot get it to register with my asterisk box.

    If I plug my normal network into the LAN port
    it won't even try to register.

    So I have to have this setup;

    WAN = 10.2.2.18 (hard coded) my VLAN with the asterisk box
    LAN = 192.168.15.1 (standard).

    The configurationis pretty simple

    extension = 2000
    password = 2000 until things are working

    10.2.2.14 is asterisk box.

    I connect up and get 'failed to register'
    even though it can see the Asterisk box.

    The logs say there's a username/mismatch of
    some sort. Kind of interesting.

    This is version 2.8 of Asterisk@home.

    Any Ideas ?

    Anyone that has theirs working, what software rev
    is installed on the UIP1868 ?

    I cant find the documention that came with my
    UIP so I can't find that ftp site with upgrades, but
    I think I have the upgrades.

    Just checking.

    got the UIP1868 working, just need a dial plan tweak

    I've finally got my UIP1868 to work with my AAH box. It was something
    soo simple as the "hostname" not being set to the right thing, and
    it would prepend the username of "phone".

    I can dial 7 digit numbers find, but when I gry to dial other numbers
    such as 800,866,877 numbers I get the AAH box playing the message
    "all circuits are busy". when I do a debug on the UIP1868's IP,
    I can see that when it passes the call, it drops some digits.
    I assume I need to tweak the UIP1868's dail-plan to allow the
    extra digits.

    I have the AAH box setup to dial out my Viatalk trunk.
    I try to dial my bank and do a 91877bankone (putting in the
    numbers), I'vd tried with 9877bankone, the same thing happens.
    The numbers passed are 9877bankon <--- the e or 3 is missing.

    I can fire up a softphone and it works like a charm.

    I'd like to see what the dial-plans are like, for those that have
    gotten the UIP1868 working with their AAH box.

    Thanks
