Hello. One big limit of TS systems is, in my opinion, the fact that the mode schedule is in general for all phone lines and not configurable for each one. My situation is a bit complicated, as I have a business with 2 offices, one in the US and one in Italy. I have both US lines coming in thru Vonage and Italian VOIP lines. I would like to set different "mode 1" and "mode 2" for US lines and italian lines. I was thinking to dedicate a box to each set of phone lines, so I will be able to set the different times and to use different holiday modes as well for each nation....any hint? Thank you.
That's a good suggestion and if you can, forward it to FortiVoice. I suspect that even if that was an option available in future upgrades, it would require 7.11.05+, and I don't know if FortiVoice will allow any system other than the VSX and FortiVoice to upgrade software. They should allow the VS systems at least, but I don't know if they will care to.
Honest to you, I don't think that the VS system will be supported anymore. I am going to apply a solution on my own, following also a precedent thread on this forum.
Also, I think that VSX owners will find sooner or later that only FV systems will be supported for updates.....
The VSX line was out for less than 8 months before they switched to a new line. Sales must have been dismal. On another note...about our friend Bir2_187, I was browsing my LinkedIn account the other day and found that he was on there--currently working for Amazon, after leaving TS.
I knew it He was unique. I have to say that Erin has always been extremely nice, too....I think that they just want to revamp the case so to totally cut with the past boxes. I am very curious to learn what is new with 7.20 but I think that there is nothing new....
I think any new software released will be to take out the name Talkswitch and replace it with FortiVoice. Though of course I would hope that they also update minor bugs.
