Default Talkswitch 4.0 released

For those unaware, today, the next version of the Talkswitch software was released. Version 4.0. This version adds to features already in the Talkswitch product. New features include local SIP extensions, support for babyTEL (direct connect) VOIP service in Canada, a third mode for handling calls (holiday mode with calendar), emailed voicemail or simply notification, and additional more minor functional improvements.

The SIP phones currently auto provisioned by Talkswitch are the Grandstream GXP-2000, Polycom 301, 430, 501, 601. Talkswitch will also work with Eyebeam softphones. The SIP phones add some new capabilities to Talkswitch, such as call appearances, more than 3 people on a conference, centralized phonebook, and more. Features based on capabilities of each phone of course.

Talkswitch has turned from an all analog PBX as it was for many many years, to, being able to be used all VOIP (SIP), or, any combination therefore. Incoming lines and extension can be analog or VOIP, mix and match.

Existing customers may simply go to PBX Phone Systems for Small Business and download the 4.0 software, as always, the update is free.
