Question PSTN Line Issue

I need help troubleshooting this problem. I don't understand how the phones lines operate with different ring patterns or could I have a house wiring problem.

I have a vs244 unit which seems to be working great except this one issue. I have 2 PSTN lines and when I get an incoming call on one of the lines, Talkswitch doesn't ring the local extensions or do anything else. I switched it from Line 1 to Line 2 and the same problem (same PSTN line). I did the line "calibration" which was successful but the "check ring pattern" didn't work however the Line 1 light on the Talkswitch unit flashes.

I ask the phone company to check both lines and they checked OK. The only difference between the 2 PSTN lines is the line that works has caller id and broadband. I ask that they add caller id to the second line.

Default Re: PSTN Line Issue

Adding caller ID seemed to be what fixed my problem and everything is working great since then.
