| Hi everybody, I have a question concerning my privacy. I use VPN and proxy service. Can Skype somehow detect my physical IP, physical location and so on? I looked for such topics, but didnt find anything. Regards, Prozvon |

| If you run someone else's (ie Skype's) binary code on your PC, it can do whatever it wants to do  The issue with Skype is that the protocol is proprietary so even if you try to sniff the many connections their application is making between your computer and the rest-of-the-world you can't really determine what information is being exchanged. If you are that concerned about such things, Skype is the last piece of software you should have on your computer. |
