| I used to use a FX-200 with my old Cisco 186 and it used to work fine. Transiting in/Transiting out - never a problem, sound quality used to be not effected at all. Then, got a new SPA3000, tons of features, the authentication by Caller ID for Transit functions made me instantly switch over. However, the sound quality was never quite as good. Yesterday, I disabled the PSTN tab on my SPA3000, and connected the old FX-200 to the FXS port. Its not as slick as the SPA's inherent FXO gateway, but the sound quality is awesome. Now, looking at the new FX-300, I can see the combination of this with a Sipura device can be the ultimate combo. Have a few queries. 1) When will the FX-300 be available for general sale? 2) I read in the SIPCPE faqs that the fx-300 will have a volume tuning/control feature. Is it somehtign similar to the SPA3000 port impedence etc settings. I know these are not easy to set and possibly lead to sound quality problems in the SPA, do any of the Beta testers reckons it has been a problem in the FX-300. 3) I really want to have two different incoming providers ringing the phone connected to the ATA, and have 3 or 4 different outgoing proivders. The SPA3000 offers most of what I want, except only ONE incoming provider really works. Is there any SPA provider that supports what i'm looking for?. Thanks Riz |
