Default FX-200 Port Converter - Volume too Low

I recently purchased a FX-200 for the heck of it. The sound of the line is very low. Impossible to have a comfortable conversation and to reliably send touchtone. Any suggestions?

well.. I have been using the adaptor for about a year and a half. The solution that i have figured out for my self is to use a speaker phone.

I have a panasonic cordless phone with a built in hands free speaker phone. So it helps me to hear clear and better. It also enhance my voice so the person on the other side can hear me better.
