I have tried hard but I cannot tune FX-200. I recieved the new FX-200 today, and I started experimenting with it. My setup is as follows: I have 2 normal phone lines (I guess both are PSTN) connected to the FX-200. Line A is connected to VOIP, Line B is connected to PSTN Transit In is ON. I call on the VOIP line using my cellphone. Hangup and hit the Test button I try and tune it so that I get the S2 to blink yellow intermittently. Hit test again. I call the VOIP line again. I hear the dial tone and I can call out of the PSTN line to my roommate's cellphone and I hangup. The FX-200 LED S2 keeps blinking, and it does not free either my VOIP line, nor does it hang up my roommate's cellphone. It does nothing even after 3-4 minutes. Can anybody please help me with this? My hunch is that the FX-200 is not getting tuned correctly. Is that right? If yes, how do you tune it? Thanks a lot in advance.

i notice that the fx 200 needs some compatible equipment to hang up successfully. the other option that you can do is use the relay timer to force it to hangup at the specified time you want, say after 5 or 10 minutes for example, if it reaches that specified time, it hangs up and if you want to continue just dial again. also try hitting # key 3 times before you hangup.

here is something worth a try. Experiment 1 - every time before you hang up.. Press ## (i.e. Press # twice). Now you will get a dial tone. this will free up your Room mate's cell phone. Hang up - hopefully it should free up your pstn line in 30 seconds. If it still doesnt work. than do this. every time before you hang up.. Press ## (i.e. Press # twice). Now you will get a dial tone. this will free up your Room mate's cell phone. Now press #1# (this will take you to programming mode). Hang up now. FX-200 will automatically hang up all lines if it doesnot receive any DTMF signals for more than 5 - 10 seconds.
