Default Sutus Achieves Polycom VoIP Interoperability Partner (VIP) Status

Vancouver, B.C. – Sept 24th, 2007 – Sutus Inc. (http://www.sutus.com), a leading manufacturer of converged Phone, Data and Networking solutions designed specifically for Small Business, today announced that Sutus has been granted VIP Partner status with Polycom and joins their ecosystem of interoperable, standards-based VoIP solutions.

The Polycom VoIP Interoperability Partner (VIP) Program allows manufacturers of SIP-based call control platforms to demonstrate through testing and certification that their premise-based (IP PBX) or hosted (Softswitch) call control solutions are interoperable on a defined feature set with Polycom SoundPoint IP® desktop and SoundStation® IP conference phones and SIP software.

"Achieving VIP Partnership status with Polycom is a significant endorsement for our company," said Shawn Chute Sutus’ Executive Vice-president. "By partnering with Polycom at this level we have 100% interoperability with their critical feature set and have ensured seamless integration between our Business Central solution and their IP desktop and conference phones. Out of the box Polycom’s IP phones automatically configure and work with our Business Central solution to create an all-in-one simple to use voice, data and networking solution designed specifically for small business."

"The Polycom VIP program is designed to make it easier for the end customer to choose a best-of-breed, end-to-end VoIP solution that is fully interoperable and standards-based" said Chalan Aras, Vice President of Marketing for Polycom’s Voice Communications division. "We work closely with select manufacturers of VoIP equipment in order to certify interoperability with our phones. We are pleased to see Sutus meet those standards and join the program as they fill a valuable spot delivering solutions focused on small business."
