AGEphone is released as the official softphone for NTT Data's IP-PBX "astima" system

An IP-PBX solution that offers comfort functions for a small price


Kyoto, Japan / December 10th, 2007


The "AGEphone Business for astima" softphone, created by the Japanese VoIP software producer ageet Corp., was released today as the official phone for NTT Data Corporation's IP-PBX "astima VS-1601AS" system and added to their "VOISTAGE" product series.

"AGEphone Business for astima" is based on ageet Corporation's popular AGEphone series which is built around their own extremely compact and fast microSIP stack. It was enhanced with some astima specific features like negotiating, keymapping, proxy and automatic answering of calls, ignoring calls, call rules, and call forwarding.

Additionally, users have the ability to pull phone numbers from a variety of 3rd party applications such as web browsers or PDF-viewers with a single mouseclick, making this solution very suitable for the daily office as well as call center use.

Furthermore, several USB-Handsets are supported which enables users to experience superior call quality and comfort. Presently the WB-2001-AG, WB-5001, Cyberphone and the Cyberspeaker phone series are supported.

The "AGEphone Business for astima" together with the astima IP-PBX system makes possible a low cost and highly flexible IP telephony system. The solution also offers additional features like call recording, Outlook Express contacts integration and auto-completion of previously dialed numbers.

Combined with NTT Data Intellilink Corp.'s recently introduced "Corydora Box", "AGEphone Business for astima" provides the user with additional benefits such as auto provisioning. "AGEphone Business for astima" will be distributed by over 60 VOISTAGE-partners in Japan as of December 10th.
