Default Setting up our polycom soundpoint 501 sip with Broadvoice

We recently signed up with Broadvoice and need to set up the polycom with their service. I've looked at the other threads but have had no luck.

I'm somewhat savvy with doing things like this, however definitely not a telcom guy.

Domain - sip.broadvoice.com
proxy - proxy.broadvoice.com

i have the auth. ID and password as well, this is all the information broadvoice provided.

someone pleaseeeee help!!!

thanks in advance all your advice and help is appreciated.

If you send me your sip.cfg and the two files you have created for the mac.cfg and phone.cfg I'd be glad to look at them for you.

Default Re: Setting up our polycom soundpoint 501 sip with Broadvoice

Fantastic! Thank you for you help.

I'm not sure if i'm providing the correct information but the following is the procedure i took to gather the info:

- advanced settings - sip configuration -

Server:
Address - sip.broadvoice.com
Port - 5060
Transport - Naptr
Register - yes

Outbound Proxy:
Address - proxy.broadvoice.com
Port - 5060
Transport - Naptr

RFC2543 Hold - No

I have not created any files for the mac.cfg, phone.cfg i wasn't aware that i had to do this, more importantly i don't know how to do it.

If you could explain to me how i can set up these files this may solve this issue i'm having.

Also, we do not have a PBX or remote PBX, we are using Broadvoice to connect directly with our phone number.

If its easier you can reach me at 973-715-8516, it might be easier for you then typing everything out.

Thank you very much we really appreciate your help.
