Polycom IP650 freezes when VM is left and MWI turns on

Default Polycom IP650 freezes when VM is left and MWI turns on
When a voicemail is left on my Polycoms extension it turns on the envelope indicator then the phone freezes, it requires a reboot to get it to work again. We got 2 phones, one does it and one doesn't do it.

Anyone seen this and have a fix?

I haven't seen this issue- but it can probably be solved by re-flashing the phones firmware.

I am having the same problem with my Polycom phones freezing after someone leaves a message. Did you guys find a work around.

I did reformat the filesystem on the phone and reload a new firmware and its still not working.

Need help, i have 5 phones going crazy on me.

We had the same problem, it was caused by some bad code in an old sip.cfg xml file from the 1.6 firmware days. Once we updated to 2.2 sip.cfg file all is ok.

We were having the same problem and replacing sip.cfg with the version contained in spip_ssip_2_2_2_release_sig.zip solved it.
