I got mine by calling the service provider (Aptela) and asking for them. They were real helpful and gave me an ftp site to download them from. They told me I could not upload stuff there but i could download all of it. Try to ask them.

P.S. I do not think all of the phones files are available for download. Just the cfg's.

I needed some help with a Polycom SoundStation IP 4000, which was throwing up all kinds of errors such as:

1. Could not contact boot server
2. Configuration file error 0x4020

In my quest for knowledge, I happened upon this post. If you notice the previous reply, a guy named Mike from .e4 Technologies offered up some help. So I followed his instructions and headed over to http://www.8774e4voip.com/ and clicked on the link for live support and simply asked for Mike. "Hello," he said. "How can I help you." This began a chat that lasted for nearly two hours while Mike stood by and walked me through an entire factory reset, firmware upgrade and dialplan map change. As you all know, Polycom does not provide much end user support beyond a couple of PDF docs and a knowledge base. Unfortunately for me, my hardware provider [hardware.com] is not versed in Polycom, at all. Therefore, if you need any support for a Polycom product, .e4 Technologies is the place to get your hardware as you will have a well qualified professional by the name of Mike White to assist you when you need it. There aren't any gimmicks and getting ahold of him is simple with the online chat support (7-7 EST, M-F). Other companies make you send an email and wait...and wait...and wait. Well, I waited for 3 weeks and was about to make my Polycom an expensive coaster for my coffee mug. Thanks to Mike and his persistence, I'm up and running. In fact, Mike's company sells Asterisk stuff, and I'm running my Polycom on an Allworx system!! Allworx is an Asterisk derivative, but my point is that Mike didn't turn me away because it was an "unsupported system."

Thanks again Mike, you saved my ***

Regards,
Scott

Hi spickles:

Can you post the methods of getting your Soundpoint IP go up and running. I am also having trouble with it. And again, I am not getting much response from Polycom.

Thanks,

Kim
