| Did aptela send you these phones or did you connect them to Aptela via the web interface? Either way I can offer insight in to making this happen- It will just help me with understanding which plan of action will be bst suited for your problem Mike White .e4 | Polycom VoIP Certified http://www.8774e4VoIP.com http://www.e4strategies.com |

| They sent me the phones but they say they can't help with the custom ring tones. Say all I can use is the preloaded ones. I told him it says it right in the manual but he was like level 1 support and kept putting me on hold and coming back saying the same thing 3 times, "Sorry but you can only use the preloaded ones." The phones have all been custom configured to allow use of 2 or more lines. So i guess they have been configured through the web interface also. I do not believe they come from Aptela pre-configured. They used to make us call and be walked through configuring. We run a call center and everything is pretty much customized. Also they do not log in to the ftp server for configuration any longer. If that doesn't make sense I'd explain it as the background of my phones are no longer Apltela's logo. Thanks for the reply, Patrick Crusham |

| Ok... If they are not configured via their FTP server than connecting it to one you have created is fairly simple... Do you have all of the extension specific info for connecting to them? username passwords IPs ? |

| Maybe this is a better question.. You have all of aptela's server side login credintials for the phone correct? The IP you gave me was your LAN IP- You would need the WAN IP or DNS of their system to configure a phone to the system... you'll also need your username and passwords... do you have those? If you have this information you can set up your own provisioning/boot server to upload the proper info to the phones including the new sound files. |
