| Can anyone help me with the config for a Polycom 501 and Broadvoice? I've been banging my head against a wall for two days now! The issue is that the phone won't register. The account works great from X-Lite but when it comes to firing up the Polycom, I am getting the following error in "0004f20241f6-app.log": 1024174152|sip |4|00|Registration failed User: 9492050000, Error Code:400 Bad Request I'm running sip.ld 1.5.2.0054 and bootrom 2.6.2. Here are the relevant sip.cfg and phone.cfg files. Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Please let me know if anyone has a working set of config files. Thanks, -Rick SIP.CFG <sip> <voIpProt> <local voIpProt.local.port="5060"/> <server voIpProt.server.1.address="sip.broadvoice.com" voIpProt.server.1.port="5060" voIpProt.server.1.transport="TCPpreferred" voIpProt.server.1.expires="3600" voIpProt.server.1.register="1" voIpProt.server.1.retryTimeOut="0" voIpProt.server.1.retryMaxCount="0" voIpProt.server.1.expires.lineSeize="30" /> <SIP voIpProt.SIP.sdpNewType="0" voIpProt.SIP.tcpEnabled="1"> <outboundProxy voIpProt.SIP.outboundProxy.address="proxy.lax.broa dvoice.com" voIpProt.SIP.outboundProxy.port="5060" /> Phone1.cfg (# and password changed) <phone1> <reg reg.1.displayName="Rick" reg.1.address="9492050000@sip.broadvoice.com" reg.1.label="4567" reg.1.type="shared" reg.1.thirdPartyName="9492050000" reg.1.auth.userId="9492050000" reg.1.auth.password="xxxxxxxxx" reg.1.server.1.register="1" reg.1.server.1.address="sip.broadvoice.com" reg.1.server.1.port="5060" reg.1.server.1.expires="3200" reg.1.server.1.retryTimeOut="10" reg.1.server.1.retryMaxCount="0" reg.1.server.1.expires.lineSeize="30" reg.1.ringType="2" reg.1.lineKeys="1" reg.1.callsPerLineKey="" /> |

| On my registration process with Broadsoft, I use:reg.1.server.1.transport="DNSnaptr" Also, Are you really using: reg.1.type="shared" ? I use "private". I'm not sure if this setting has any effect on the registration process though. Also, confirm that your:voIpProt.server.1.address, is correct and that your: voIpProt.SIP.outboundProxy.address is correct. You may want to change: voIpProt.SIP.outboundProxy.address= to: "proxy.broadvoice.com". The rest looks fine. |

| Thanks for the advice. Tried incorporating them all. Still no love. Confirmed settings with Broadvoice. Seems very strange. I also tried reformatting the file system and reloading sip.ld and bootrom.ld. Still won't register with the "Registration failed User: 9492054567, Error Code:400 Bad Request" Has anyone else been successful in using this phone with Broadvoice? Their CS says there are, but I'm starting to wonder. -Rick |

| Here's what I'd use for the registration: <reg reg.1.displayName="Rick" reg.1.address="9492050000" reg.1.label="4567" reg.1.type="private" reg.1.thirdPartyName="" reg.1.auth.userId="9492050000" reg.1.auth.password="xxxxxxxxx" reg.1.ringType="2" reg.1.lineKeys="1" reg.1.callsPerLineKey="" /> The address should only be the user-part, the type should be private, and all of the server information will be inherited from sip.cfg. I've never seen a 400 during registration before, so something really weird is going on. Get a packet trace and send it to Broadvoice if it's still happening after making the above changes. |
