| Hello -- I'm trying to use a Plantronics Polaris P81N headset with my IP 501. I hear faint buzzing in my ear and the person on the other end hears HORRENDOUS buzzing. The frequency and characteristic of the buzz makes it pretty obvious that the source is 60 Hz AC power. Has anyone faced / resolved this issue? Do I have a bad phone? Thanks, Derek P.S. I noticed this in the last headset compatibility guide: "Headsets with Power Supplies: For users who cannot use PoE, a new 3-prong 24V power supply unit will be available from Polycom in Q2 2008." That might be the solution. Anyone out there know how to come by one of these? |
