Default Did I make a mistake buying Polycom from Voxilla?

Where is the procedure to get Polycom firmware from Voxilla documented? I received an IP 430 from Voxilla last week, wrote to Voxilla support but they haven't answered.

Probably not... All that I see coming from the voxilla camp is positive... Fair Pricing, a nice support forum - Not to mention they are Polycom certified... Just an FYI, Eric is right about the Certified reseller comment for sure... You may have saved a few bucks by ordering from a grey market vendor on the front end... But really, is it worth all of the trouble not having a certifed resource to turn to when you need help?

Probably not.

If you need support i'd be glad to help. contact us through live support on our site.

Hi Michael:

I have been purchasing ATAs, IP phones and cards for several years now, and every single one of them (including the Polycom IP for which I can't seem to find up-to-date firmware) has been bought at Voxilla.

In fact, I don't even know the name of any VoIP vendor other than Voxilla.

Having said that, I was curious and looked at your web page. Well, let me tell you: those prices seem very interesting...

I will be ordering some 1200 IP phones in the near future, to be deployed in Venezuela and some cities in the Caribbean islands. I keep on reading about the great Polycom voice quality, and having tried one for a few days (until it crapped out on me, it keeps on rebooting and can't contact a boot server) I can attest that the quality of the voice is remarkable. Too bad the rest of the features are not up to par with the voice.

Hello- I am not here to steal biz from anyone- Should someone chose to hop ship on Voxilla from reading any post from me is their decision to make.

Our products are listed with competitive pricing however; this is not the "interesting" part from my perspective. What is interesting to me is how we have built our business... Sincere service, product knowledge, and expert support has and always will be our motto. We pride ourselves on this fact and believe that our success is attributed directly to it.

If you truly plan to look at any VoIP hardware vendor I'd personally access the value associated with the price you are paying. Then I’d ask myself… is it worth it?

Here are a few other online retailers outside of Voxilla and .e4 that I feel will work diligently to earn your business.

VoIPsupply.com
888VoIPstore.com
VoIPlink.com

From my research I have determined that the companies listed above offer more than just savings. These companies know their game and will be there when you need them. I’ll call these companies our true competitors- Most everyone else I see out there is just an online shopping cart and a drop shipment away from giving you buyers remorse.

Hi voxmin:

I sent you a private message as you requested, on the same day you posted the above (January 14th). To this day (February 5th.) I haven't heard anything from you.

As I said in my PM, my e-mail address is ramon@forcewise.com

As I said in my PM, some of my order numbers are: #71338 (SoundPoint IP430) and #71339 (SoundPoint IP550).

Additionally, on January 21st, I sent an e-mail to Eric Chamberlain, the CTO of Voxilla, who is a frequent participant in this forum. He hasn't answered, either.

I also called Voxilla's main phone number, couldn't get a human to talk to me, and left a VM in the sales department, with my e-mail address, asking them for the firmware and software that I entitled to. I havent't received any response from them, either.
