Default Changes made to Polycom 301 via browser don't take

Hello,

I am trying to make changes to my 301 phone via IE, I can get connected no problem, pull up the menus and select the options that I want, for example under audio processing if I want to select the order of codecs, it will let me do that, then I hit submit and it reboots the phone. The problem is that the changes do not take. This is not consistant for all phones, some take and some don't, what could be causing this problem.

Bootrom 3.1.2
Sip ver 1.6.3

TIA.

Are all phones running the same software? I'd prefer to configure the phones via FTP rather than via the web browser. Maybe try later software?
