| I am an experienced Sipura/Linksys user. With those ATAs and phones, all the settings are done through the web interface. No XML config files required at all. I just got my first Polycom (an IP 430) and would like to set it up through the web interface to register with my Asterisk server. I typed the obvious settings: SIP: - Server 1 Address Line 1: - Auth User ID (this is the extension number, right?) - Auth Password - Server 1 Address (why again?) But according to the Asterisk server, the phone is not even trying to register. Am I missing something? -Ramon |

| Dear Self: The catch is that the extension number must be typed in two places, under Lines | Line 1 | Identification: - Address - Auth User ID If the "Address" field is empty, the Polycom will not even try to register. -Ramon |

| Hello, I have the same problem with a IP4000. I entered the "Adress" just like you posted, but it still doesn't register with our Swyx-Server. I set the settings like one IP4000 that is functioning correctly with our server. Does anybody have an idea? Cheers, BSander |
