Smile voip to mutiple PSTN lines

Hi all,
I am new to this ,excuse my ignorance , I'd like to get some plain english answers.

I want to set up a PhoneGNome Box in my home in Cairo Egypt where my wife lives (ADSL and regular telephone available). My mother home and my brother home are in a near-by street (regular telephone only), all my family members PSTN lines belong to the same company.

1- I want to call from Saudi Arabia where I work to my wife home in cairo using my ADSL-computer (is that completely free?).
2- I want to call my wife in cairo using my computer and ask her to transfer my call to my mother`s home or my brother`s home (Is that possible? Is that transfer completely free? Can I make PhoneGNome Box transfer calls myself from Saudi Arabia without her assisstance in case she are not available? Is
there any other device(s) which fulfil my goals?)

Thnx

With a PhoneGNome Box installed at your home in Cairo Egypt:

1 - Yes. Calls made from a PC are free to a PhoneGnome box, regardless of location.

2 - The transfer idea will work, but it's even easier. You can setup on the My PhoneGnome web control panel, access to the POTS line (the phone line connected to the PhoneGNome Box installed at your home in Cairo) amd then dial **720 number on your PC to dial local number "number" using a service called Directed Calling / Remote POTS Access .

The Directed Calling / Remote POTS Access feature is a premium service. It's part of the PowerSuite service bundle and does cost extra, $24.99 per year ($2.08/month). You can get a free 30-day trial to try it out before you buy.

Click here for more info on the Directed Calling / Remote POTS Access feature.

Another way to do this (with no optional services required) is to use the SoftGnome softphone SIP credentials (included free with every PhoneGnome account) for the PhoneGnome Box in Cairo Egypt on your ADSL-computer in Saudi Arabia.

In that case, you just dial the number for your mother or brother exactly as though you were usig the phone in Cairo and the call will be delivered using your landline in Cairo Egypt.

You can call your wife on the SoftGnome softphone by dialing **466 (***HOM or for "call HOME") and this will be a free call (from your computer to the PhoneGnome).

These capabilities are included free with the PhoneGnome box.
