Exclamation Trying to Use PhoneGnome with BroadVoice.com

I am trying to use PG with Broadvoice.com . it is like Vonage.

Device is Sipura 3000.

There is provision in the phonegnome Features like given below.
It is in the Manual SIP Setting.

------------------------------------------------------
SIP Host: sip.broadvoice.com
SIP Username: myusername (Not my Broadvoice Phone no)
SIP Password: mypasssword
Require domain in From header? Yes No -->selected NO
Domain: Leave it as Blank
Require username in From header? Yes No -->selected NO
Country-code of origin: 1
Intl dialing prefix: 011
-----------------------------------------------------

I prefer to go by above setting. Otherwise it will change the Phonegnome default setting.

After Entering the Above info, i am unable to connect to broadvoice
network
But in the Broadvoice.com. They have given details like given below

http://www.broadvoice.com/support_in...od_sipura.html

I am afraid to use given by broadvoice link. It would change phoneGnome
default setting.

Help me to setup PG.

PhoneGnome is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: Trying to Use PhoneGnome with BroadVoice.com

On the page where you enter the settings you refer to above is your answer:

Quote:
The technical requirements for compatibility as a SIP PSTN termination provider are (a) to support SIP RFC 3261 and (b) permit calls to be authenticated on a per-INVITE basis, i.e. not requiring the node to be SIP registered. PhoneGnome uses the provider service for OUTBOUND calls only, purely for VoIP to PSTN termination. It does not REGISTER to the provider's SIP server and none of the INBOUND features offered by the provider service (if any) apply in a PhoneGnome context.
You can connect the output of the Broadvoice ATA to the LINE port of PhoneGnome and use it that way, no problem (PhoneGnome will treat the Broadvoice service as the 'local telephone service')
