I purchased PhoneGnome &Sent it to India. I am using RT31P2 Router.
I connected the PhoneGnome as given in the Manuel. At the beginning ,iwas able to call *611, **747 to call my SipPhone.

At the beginning, We heard high &low pitch dial tone.
when we dialed **3,we heard the message "set up is not completed fully",
We have "always on " internet connection at home.

Next day we were working on it. We got Local telephone company dial tone. we thought PG has started working. This time when we dial *611,**747 , we got the message from local Telephone company saying, "Number you entered
is not in use"Incorrect number.

Then I emailed to tech support abt my problem, they told
In order to complete the international setup ,please follow the steps below.

1.Lift the the Handset of ur PG Phone(ignore any unusual dialtone, if any)

2.Dial **468

3.When prompted ,enter the following PIn code:5189

We entered **468 & entered the PIn:5189, we got message from local telephone company saying " Number you entered is not inUse". We realized that PG is not connecting to Internet through the Router Port. we changed the Router to LinkSys model"BEFW11S4". We tried samething we got same Problem. We are able to connect Other computers to Same Rotuer. STATUS light is always Blinking.

What went wrong with PG. it is not able to connect to Internet.
Is PG Dead? do i need to replace the PG??

You might have to replace the unit if it is defective. But for you to be certain that it is, read david's last post on the PhoneGnome's forum.

Try to determine if your router is in NAT or bridge mode, and that its ethernet port supports 10BaseT connections.

First disconnect the PSTN line from your PhoneGnome and then check to see if you get a dialtone or not. If no dialtone then it means you are not connetced to the internet.
We ran into the same problem when connecting the PhoneGnome in Inda and had to feed the internet passowrd into the modem in order to be able to connect the PhoneGnome to the internet.
