Hi Guys, I am pretty new to these tecnology. so i have question for you guys.

i am in canada, using phonegnome device can I call any phone number in india? or i can only call the number where i have this device installed. ?

I already have a device wich has canada phone number installed at my home which connects to the internet and i make calls to that canda phone number and it rings the phone connected to the box. the company is vonage. what is the difference between vonage technology and phonegnome.

PhoneGnome is designed to sit in between your home telephone service and the telephone instruments in your home. Once situated there, whenever you make a phone call PhoneGnome will place the call via your VoIP service provider or your PSTN Line, according to the desires you expressed during the registration process.

I am still confused.

If i am in canada and i have installed pg at my home town in india. Will i be able to call only to my home town PSTN number or any PSTN number/Mobile in India.

You will be able to call any number anywhere in the world, as long as your contract with your VoiP service provider and/or your contract with your PSTN phone company allows it. You will pay that provider to complete the call, just as you do now from your Vonage phone or your Bell Canada phone.

When you call from your PhoneGnome in Canada to your PhoneGnome in India, though, PhoneGnome will intercept that call and send it directly to the other PhoneGnome for free. This is true when calling from your PhoneGnome to any PhoneGnome anywhere in the world. Whenever you make a call from your PhoneGnome, if the destination you dial happens to be another PhoneGnome you will be connected for free.
