Default Is PhoneGnome Down?

Hi:
My PG box cannot make or receive calls. Also, the SoftGnome wouldn't even register.

Is anyone else having trouble with PG service?
It appears me that their server is down.

Thanks.

Even if your network co nnection is down, or if PhoneGnome cannot register for whatever reason, you should still be able to use the landline service normally.

PhoneGnome does present a steady high pitched dial tone to indicate this condition, but you should still be able to place calls to your landline and receive incoming calls.

PhoneGnome:
Thanks for the response; but you didn't answer the question: Was PhoneGnome down?

(BTW, it started working again early morning NY time)

In any case, I remember the high-pitch tone but I also remember that I had no incominmg calls or outgoing calls!

The service was not 'down' per se, but there are enough reports to suggests that connectivity to the PhoneGnome datacenter(s) was impacted for some users for a time. It appears to be a few hours at most, and only a portion of users were impacted.
