| I've scanned through a number of posts here and elsewhere, but I'm still looking for a definitive answer about whether and under what conditions the PhoneGnome will accept an inbound SIP call from other devices. The PhoneGnome looks handy for getting non-technical users (i.e. relatives in other locations) up and running with a minimum of fuss. However, I'm already dealing with several Asterisk servers sitting in different sites and would like to preserve the ability to make direct IP-to-IP calls to known devices. On a related note, did anyone find out if the PhoneGnome firmware upgrade for the SPA3000 can be reversed? |

| The FAQ http://www.phonegnome.com/faq_using.html#q13 discusses this: Quote:
Peering is also active on FWD and SIPphone (Earthlink coming soon) for alling to PhoneGnome. On FWD, dial **742 followed by the PhoneGnome owner |

| When I tried calling an FWD number from my PhoneGnome several weeks ago, the SIP URL the call came from was apparently not valid to call back. I wonder if that's considered a "bug" or not.
