| I bought a PhoneGnome primarily for it's "Find Me/Follow Me" feature. I was hoping that incoming calls would cause either: 1) my PhoneGnome-connected phone to ring simultaneously with my cell phone, or 2) my PhoneGnome-connected phone to ring 2-3 times, then my cell phone to ring But the actual behavior I get is: 1) If my cell phone is set as PhoneGnome's only SIMULTANEOUS ring number and I call my PSTN line: * At 0 seconds, my PSTN line rings once. * At 6 seconds, my PhoneGnome usually rings once (but sometimes it doesn't ring at all). Unless I answer the call instantly (*during* the single ring), I've missed the chance to take the call on my PhoneGnome. * At 32 seconds, my cell phone starts ringing. * At 52 seconds, my cell phone stops ringing because the call has gone to my cell phone's voicemail. My cell phone rings for the full 20 seconds even if the caller hung up before the cell phone started ringing. 2) If my cell phone is set up as PhoneGnome's "Last Stop Number": * At 0 seconds, my PSTN line rings once. * At 6 seconds, 11 seconds, and 16 seconds, my PhoneGnome usually rings (but sometimes it doesn't ring at all). * At 32 seconds, my cell phone starts ringing. * At 52 seconds, my cell phone stops ringing because the call has gone to my cell phone's voicemail. My cell phone rings for the full 20 seconds even if the caller hung up before the cell phone started ringing. Does anyone have PhoneGnome working in a useful way with a cell phone? How do you have it set up, and what behavior do you get? |

| I would post this on the phoneGnome.com forums, there the Tech Support can evaluate your issue or declare it a feature which was meant to work that way... BTW, I have a phonegnome and have used both call forwarding and findme follow me options. What ITSP provider are you using? The ITSP can also affect the times involved... |
