Hi, I am a newbie in this field. After reading info. from the internet, I decided to purchased a Sipura SPA3000 from *bay. However, when I received it, it is a PhoneGNome box which looks identical to SPA-3000. My intention to purchase the SPA3000 is to configure it to use with other SIP providers (e.g. stanaphone, sipgate etc.) and use the forwarding VOIP-to-PSTN function. However, when I set it up, I tried to access the webpage for configuration (like SPA3000), nothing came up. When I pinged to the PhoneGNome IP, it responsed. I thought maybe the webpage was disable. When I tried to enable or to do the factory reset, it always asked for a password which I didn't know. I am wondering if anyone knows how to go to the configuration webpage? Or, anyone knows how to set it to use with other SIP providers? Thanks a lot, SV === Updated: I just read further information from phonegnome.com. It seems to me that in order to set it up, I need to config it via my.phonegnome.com instead of the http://<IP address of PhoneGNome> like the SPA3000. I am wondering with the my.phonegnome.com page for configuration, do I have a lot of control on the phonegnome (i.e. I can specify how I will route the calls? How I can forward the call and use which services? etc.) Thanks!

The PG unit you got, allows the use of SIP providers called ITSPs. You just have to provision them, under the Features tab in the my.phonegnome.com portal. In the portal you can also choose to which ITSP or landline, the International and Domestic calls will be routed to. The PG is an SPA-3K with altered firmware and locked controls. Like if you had bought the ATA from a voice provider. Good luck.

You got lucky and got a PG for the price of SPA 3000. Please go to the URL below and configure your PG. You may have to call PG Sales or Support for specifying your local phone number, since that will have to be changed from the previously confihgured number. http://www.phonegnome.com

If it is a PhoneGnome, you can contact support@televolution.com to get support for it. Please supply the serial number on the underside of the device. There may be a small fee involved in re-initializing the unit.
