 Caller ID for outgoing calls via PhoneGnome? Newbie here, first post. Would like to know if recipients of calls that I place via PhoneGnome should see my caller ID... assuming they have that service from their landline company. I have a PhoneGnome account based on my cell phone number and would be calling out on Talk Express softphone. I've tried it a few times and it doesn't seem to work... but I'm not sure that it should.      |

| Re: Caller ID for outgoing calls via PhoneGnome? Depends on the service you're using for delivering the call. Free calls and others placed using PhoneGnome's own PSTN gateways will deliver proper caller ID. If using the integrated "VOOVOX" it should also work, but you can check your Caller-ID settings by signing into your account at: http://www.voovox.com and looking under Options / Caller ID. Proper Caller-ID also works with the Gold and Platinum "unlimited calling" plans. The number people see will be the number associated with the PhoneGnome account. |
