Default Call Forwarding???

According to PG Support:
The following * codes are known to be compatible with PhoneGnome:

*98 Blind transfer current call to the target specified after the
activation code
*72 call forward
*73 cancel call forward
*56 Enable Call Waiting
*57 Disable Call Waiting
*78 Enable Do Not Disturb
*79 Disable Do Not Disturb
*74 Assign a speed dial number

Using codes other than those listed above can have unpredictable
results.

Note also that if forwarding, or transferring from a call arriving
via the landline, the call can be transferred/forwarded to a VoIP
number (second PhoneGnome) and an ITSP service is required to place
the outbound call to a second PSTN destination.

PhoneGnome Support

I do have the ITSP set up, but can't seem to get the Call Forward to work? *72 then 1 (XXX)-XXX-XXXX. When I call thru sipphone directly to PhoneGnome, (which typically works (*746+PG Number), I get 1 ring then a busy signal (forward line is not busy for sure)... When I call PhoneGnome thru PSTN, I get endless rings, PG does not ring (shouldn't), but the forward destination doesn't ring either! Any one successfully use Call Forward???

Just now, I checked my phonegnome page and see that the forwarded calls are not going out ITSP, or PSTN, but NET, which seems to indicate they can only call forward to another phonegnome???? Waiting to hear from support.....

so..... I guess there must be some differences between our PG's! Just tried it again, didn't work, and the PG call log shows an outgoing call thru NET, which indicates a PHONEGNOME call, vs ITSP or PSTN... I use *72 + 1 XXX-XXXX to activate, *73 to deactivate... What does your PG Call Log show for Placed calls?

My call log showed a call to my mobile phone at the time the call was "forwarded" to my mobile.

My call log shows the calls to my mobile as well, BUT, the call TYPE is listed as NET in the log (vs PSTN or ITSP). What does your log list as the type? I think that it is trying to forward teh calls using the PhoneGnome Network instead of the alternate open line (PSTN or ITSP)...

PhoneBoy,
Still can't get call forwarding to work... If you can check your call log on the forwarded calls, what are the call types? Also when you setup call forward, does anything appear in the Sipura SPA configuration pages (User 1?) for the PhoneGnome? Also mine indicates the following:
Product Name: SPA3000 Serial Number: XXXXXXX
Software Version: 2.0.13(GWg) Hardware Version: 2.0.1(5967)

Thanks

The call shows up as an ITSP call when it is forwarded, at least it did a couple of days ago.

My web interface shows the same thing as yours and doesn't display any information about how the calls are being forwarded. What was peculiar was that when I forwarded the calls with *72, I got a "dialing via Internet telephone service" right before the call was forwarded.

Well PG support changed some settings for me, and now the call log shows up as ITSP for the forwarded calls, and when I test a call, i hear 2 rings then the "internet telephone service" message, then silence... No sound on the caller end, but on the forwared end the phone rings, and when picked up, I can hear the caller, but he cant hear me...

Basically no sound after the "internet telephone service" prompt on the caller end, but recipient of forwarded call can hear...

One-way audio problems sound like NAT-related issues, which are hard to troubleshoot when you can't see the settings for the device. Might see if PG support can help with this too.

PG Support Reply:

One way call sounds like a router compatibility issue or an ITSP compatibility issue. What ITSP was it?
I have successfully used the ITSP (SIPPhone) to place calls all along. It's just the forwarded ones that are one way audio.

PG Support:

What did you use to dial into PhoneGnome thru the internet? It sounds like that service does not support the necessary
SIP functionality.
We will continue to investigate.
I have successfully called my phonegnome from GizmoProject with the *746+number before... When Call Forward is activated on the PG, I get 2 rings then a busy signal.

I hope they can resolve this...

With an SPA3000, can one set a forwarding option remotely or by dialing in somehow?
