| [color= I HAVE SEARCHED THE INTERNET FAR AND WIDE, TO TRY AND FIND THE COMPANY WITH THE LOWEST INTERNATIONAL RATES; I FINALLY FOUND IT AND IT IS : www.voxee.com WITH THE ADITIONAL ADVANTAGE THAT THERE IS NO MONTHLY FEE, SINCE YOU ONLY HAVE TO MAKE A PREPAYMENT; AND FROM THERE YOU PAY AS YOU GO ! SOUNDS TERRIFIC ??? THEY ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ACTUALLY CONNECT TO VOXEE ! I HAVE MY ASSIGNED USER NAME, AND ALSO MY PASSWORD, AND THE WEBSITE FOR VOXEE, SO I WENT TO THE VOXILLA WEB SITE AND TO THEIR CONNECTION WIZARD & TRIED TO CONNECT WITH VOXEE USING THE LINKSYS PHONE ADAPTER, WITHOUT ANY RESULTS; I THEN TRIED THE SIPURA 2002, WITHOUT ANY RESULTS, THEN AGAIN I TRIED WITH THE SIPURA 3000, AGAIN WITH NO RESULTS, AND IN ALL OF THESE THREE CASES, I WAS IMMEDIATLEY AFTERWARDS ABLE TO INSTALL OTHER INTERNET SUPPLIERS SUCH AS www.inphonex.com ( ALSO NO MONTHLY FEE ) AND www.stanaphone.com ( AGAIN NO MONTHLY FEE ) USING THE SAME EQUIPMENT & THE VOXILLA CONNECTION WIZARD, WITHOUT ANY DIFFICULTY WHATSOEVER. FROM THIS I TAKE IT THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE VOXILLA WIZARD WHEN YOU TRY AND USE IT TO INSTALL VOXEE.COM ! MY QUESTION IS, HAS ANYBODY BEEN ABLE TO INSTALL VOXEE USING THE WIZARD, OR IS IT ONLY ME THAT HAS THIS PROBLEM ???? IS THERE ANOTHER WAY THAT I CAN GO ABOUT INSTALLING VOXEE IN MY PHONE ADAPTER ????? ANY HELP ON THIS MATTER WILL BE APPRECIATED ! ALSO IF SOMEBODY KNOWS HOW TO PROGRAM THE SIPURA 3000 SO THAT IT WILL MAKE TELEPHONE CALLS USING A LOCAL LINE , AT A REMOTE LOCATION ??? | Well...if you dont pay a monthly fee, voxee's rates certainly are low - but I use onesuite.com (calling card) for my mobile phone. However, as we all know, its not the rate that matters with calling cards and VOIP - (when you are trying to talk to your friends and relatives) - its the Quality of the call. I prefer the monthly fee route and have recently discovered VoxBY - so many companies with similar sounding names! - and their unlimted plan to Taiwan, Europe and Australia - is a big advantage! However, thanks for the heads-up on Voxee - will keep it in mind for the future. As for your connection problems - make sure you reset everything to default - before editing the providers unique information. AM |

| I noticed that my SPA-2100 wouldn't register with Voxee until I added $5 to my Voxee account. Also: 1) Voxee does NOT allow SIP calls between Voxee members. 2) Voxee does NOT allow SIP calls from outside SIP providers. 3) Voxee *does* charge for 800 calls. None of the above was explained on Voxee's web site. (I had to set up and pay $5 each into two separate Voxee accounts to figure out the first point.) So 1.1 cents/minute is a bargain price, but their policy of not allowing calls between Voxee members makes Voxee impractical for residential VoIP, because it requires people to use separate phones for incoming and outgoing calls (and another SIP provider for the incoming calls), or else pay $75/month for 5 DID lines, or use a device that does multiple registrations, like SPA3000 or Asterisk. |

| I tried to sign up, but their website won't let me. The error I get is: Error: Phone number must contain a number. I played with different formats (123) 666-5555, 123 666 5555 ... but no dice. Tried with Firefox and Konqueror. Am I the only one seeing this? |
