Default Voipstunt- no Free incoming number

Hi,

I would like to bring you guys the attntnion to the issue of free VOIP incoming number by Voipstunt. They claimed on the web that they can get you Australia and Hong Kong number, but you have to buy 10 Euro credits in order to get the number. I have signed on 2 accounts today and paid 20 Euros but I can't get any number from them. The message from Voipstunt telling you that these numbers are not available for your country??? and would inform you once they are available, who knows when?? The credits are only valid for 120 days, so it appears to me that it is a dirty gimmick to absorb customers. Complaints have been raised with their Customer Service, but I aasume that they would not response. So be careful in siging in unless you just need 10 Euros to make calls and never mind with incoming calls.

jim

Default RE: Voipstunt- no Free incoming number

Look, lack of incoming number is indeed annoying. Maybe, it is somehow tied to the country that you indicated in your "billing" address (although, since I payed by PayPal - who cares about billing address, anyway!) And, while you can change the address, you can't change the country. Bizzarre! So, when I renew, I'll try to specify the country where they say there is a number available and where I actually wanted the number in the first place (Latvia). But that will prbably means that they will collect VAT...

I wish they at least provided some way to hook into IPKall the way mutualphone does... but apparently they don't. Bummer!

That said, the rates are ridiculously cheap, and the quality is quite good (I've been using VoipDiscount for a little over a month now). So, think this way: it's 2,5 euro a month for free calls to 50 countries, and 2,5 euro allowance for calling the rest (non-free and mobile). Net result: while what you are not getting is annoying (mostly because I expected it) - what you are getting is quite attractive.

I am aware that they give you VOIP-in number according to the country that you registered. Unfortunately, even I put in my address in Australia and Hong Kong , both accounts couldn't get the number that they pledged to give it out for free...

Did you contact them? What do they say about the situation?

It is unlikely he will get a responce back from them. They do not seem to respond to email inquiries.
