| Hello, I have an account with VoipCheap I have a Netherlands number which I want to forward to my voipcheap account. On the account page for my dutch DID, I have the option to forward it onto a VoIP provider. I have fields for username and sip server. Username: myname Sip server: sip.voipcheap.com Voipcheap themselves have a DID associated with the account. If you call that from a normal landline, and the voip account is not registered, you hear a message saying "This user is currently not online." It was my hope that filling in the fields as above would cause the Dutch number to effectively call the voipcheap DID, but now when i call the dutch number all I get is a ringing tone for that number, and then an engaged tone, presumably for the voipcheap side of things. Am I just getting confused, or do the details for the voipcheap side have to be different. At the moment, the voipcheap side is not active anywhere apart from an entry at voxalot.com, but there are no dial plans associated with it there. Surely this would still give the 'User not online' message? Sorry if this sounds confusing. Hussein. |
