I think the best way to get purely free unlimited calls would be to get a SIP device (~ $50 or so) and send it to your home etc. in Pakistan, India .... Then signup with any one of the free services to connect and talk for free. This was the cost can be recovered within a couple of months and then its yours.
Of course this way has some limitations :
1) You can only talk unlimited to someone who has the device (and not someone's landline or mobile)
2) Internet connection has to be good (dial-up won't work)

Guys,

As a student from India to USA, I know how hard it is to manage your limited pocket. Personally I have spent lots of money on calls to India and realized that I need to do something with this!
I started up a blog http://sam-freecalls.blogspot.com/
where we can find the ways to call home. I found pretty many websites which can offer us free calls using a cell or landline phone.
My parents have no PC at home, thus I can not call them using skype or yahoo ms. So feel free join our community and get benefits from it.
