Default Switching VoIP service from ATT CallVantage to Lingo

Anybody has experiencing with switching VoIP providers without too many snags, outages , in general smootly and seamlessly?

I am very unhappy with ATT CallVantage and would like to switch to Lingo service by Primus.

Wiil apreciate all advice.

Switching between the two providers should not be any problem, though it may be impossible to keep the same phone number. The best way to do it is to sign up with Lingo. When you receive the telephone adaptor from Lingo (made by Azatel), disconnect the ATT device (a D-Link) from the network and connect the Lingo device. Once you have your new service up and running, cancel your ATT service.

You will, of course, have to return the Dlink telephone adaptor ATT provided.

Most providers that support number portability will let you port in any number (and port that same number out later), but will not let you port the numbers they provide. Something is wrong with that...
