Default [Other] VoiceStick on Sipura devices?

I've googled and googled and googled.... I can't figure this out. I needed a DID in the Oklahoma City, OK area for couple of months so I decided to try Voicestick. I configured it on one of the lines of my SPA841 but every time I call my number as soon as I pick up it ends the call. I then reset my SPA3000 to defaults and configured on this device. Same thing... I then hooked up the 841 directly to the cable modem, same problem. Have they killed the Sipura devices on their network?

In the meantime, does anyone know of a provider I can get a cheap DID in the Oklahoma City, OK area with unlimited incoming? I don't need any outgoing.

If you can figure out what User Agent their device claims to be you can set your SPA to that value. It's on the SIP page - "SIP User Agent Name:". They might be rejecting on that ID.

I don't think they are looking at user agent. I am having a heck of time w/ them figuring out codecs. Could be his issue as well?

I tried forcing some codecs which in some combinations will cause the phone to not even ring, so I know the codecs deal isn't the issue.

Have you looked over the config for a PAP2? It should be similar:
http://www.voipconfig.com/voicestick_config.htm
I have Voicestick working a PAP2 and Asterisk.

Don't know for sure, but they should have OKC DID's:
http://www.gizmoproject.com/area775.html (I have grown to really like their Area775 service and only 3.95 for the basic. DID's appear to be in all the Level3 rate centers)
http://www.vitelity.com (might be backordered)

I have voicestick running on an SPA2102, it was easy to set up, and worked right away.

See this for config parameters: http://voxilla.com/index.php?name=PN...&p=42770#42770

I am having the same problem with voice stick that the call ends as soon as I pick up the phone. However the landline phone calling continues to hear it ring and it goes into voicemail eventually. I have set all my parameters on my SPA 1001 to the configuration settings that were specified by vox Trotter but it still doesn't work. I don't know what else to do. Can anyone advise me. I have gotten FWD and sipgate.de to work on another SPA but it did take a while even with the configuration wizard. I really don't know why except that I do use a static IP.

If the phone rings you are registered OK, that is usually the biggest problem. When you pickup the phone to accept the call, Voicestick must not support some configuration setting that you have. Perhaps you are restricting the call to some codec they don't support (Set Use Pref Codec Only No). Can you make outgoing VoiceStick calls OK?

I am restricting the Codec to G711u by checking used preferred codec only. I thought the configuration information that I found indicated this was true. I can not make out going calls. I don't even have a dial tone. I have the phone set up on line 2 and line 1 is not enabled. Line 2 I have as the default line.
