Default Nufone 800 numbers down?

Anyone else having trouble with nufone 800 numbers since Nov 1st? Has that $500,000 fraud bill come due to GLBX on October 31st. Jeremy claims GLBX had a network crash. Anyone confirm?

Default GBLX

Global Crossing is only one of quite a few carriers we deal with. Plus we have a legitimate dispute for that half a million dollar bill, which doesn't necessarily involve GBLX. Plus we have court-ordered injunctions barring any disconnection of services, so that is a non-issue.

If you would have contacted NuFone support you would have been informed that the problem came down to a failed reload of tollfree numbers in GBLX switches for proper overflow around the GBLX network of switches.

The problem was not all tollfree numbers but a subset of our numbers, if it was all
numbers it would of been very easy for GBLX to find, and fix. It only effected toll-free numbers on certain inbound trunk groups into us, from different serving GBLX switches around the country, thus making the problem non-trivial to track down.

Most issues were cleared up in a few hours, but there were a few lingering problems for the better part of 2 days depending on what part of the country your calls where coming in from.

Next time complain to NuFone support, as they have the power to assist you.

Default RE: GBLX

I did contact support and received a reply in 5 hours which I consider excellent. I was just questioning whether anyone else was having the problem also and checking the answer. As the greatest president ever said, "trust but verify". I'm glad to hear about the court order not to disconnect service. I've been leary about that fraud issue since Voxilla reported it a few months back. Two days without business phone service and I get a little concerned. I don't ever recall Verizon or SBC being down for two days. Now that I know GLBX is handling my 800 number, I will move on to another provider. They are nothing but trouble.
