Hi, I need a VoIP provider that would handle the porting of a US number to it. I'd also need it to be reasonably cheap as I am not going to use this service a lot and unlike (voicestick) a provider that will not charge for unterminated incoming calls, (meaning the call has to be answered before billing starts).... Any suggestions would be great?? Don't know if I have the right sub-forum. Thanks, TOm

Do you just need to receive calls or to make calls? If you will be calling California or better yet, just need the phone line to receive calls, get it touch with me. We can work something out to get you an extension in my pbx. Bye!

I found the best and cheapest! callwithus.com. This is how they work: You prepay and you have access to outgoing calls. If you want to configure a trunk or you can use the really cheap rates from your regular phone. I find myself using it from my cellphone. I used to pay 6 cents a minute to call Mexico, with this guys calling the same number, I only pay .023 cents. That is one 1/3 of Broadvoice. If you one and DID for free, do like this: Sing up for Gizmo service. Then go to grandcentral.com and get an account. When you get your account activated, have grandcentral ring your gizmo trunk. (you can make gizmo into a pbx trunk). When someone calls your GC number, your gizmo trunk rings. And there you have it. You practically have free telephone service. (not outgoing though but very very cheap!!!l). http://thebenjamins101.blogspot.com
