Default French or Swiss Virtual Number

I am looking for a service provider that will allow me to have a French or Swiss virtual number.

iConnecthere does offer these, but I need to BYOD (Bring My Own Device). I got a SPA-3000. They said because of the 911 rules, they are temporarily suspending their Open Access program.

Anyone know another company which would fit my criteria?

I saw it, but I don't speak any French and I prefer not even to deal with the French. Isn't there an American provider that can do it? (I mean iConnecthere can, but not BYOD).

For Swiss:
SIP - www.internationalnumber.com and from www.voipstunt.com free (but sign up with a swiss address)

Skype in has both french/swiss virtual numbers.

voxTrotter, thanks for the advice. I can't use Skype beacuse I need to program it in my SPA-3000, I don't want a soft phone. I wrote internationalnumber an email asking them how much they would charge, etc. I don't know though, they seem like a real bucket shop. I was hoping that one of the major providers would offer it, but I guess not. I will see how internationalnumber works out, I hope they are legit...

I just did voipstunt (with a swiss address) and it worked perfectly.

I signed up for a French DID. Had to put 10Eu in my account before I could have an "in" phone number.

Is it a "geographic" French number with a city area code, or is it like one of those numbers like they have in Germany and the UK which are not tied to a particular city and charge the caller a surcharge? Did you get a choice of numbers?

I don't recall getting any choice. I received a 01 Paris number. It has worked intermittently.
