Default Can someone tell how to use pbxes.com?

I'm just plain confused. Whatever trunk is I dunno. And there's plenty more that doesn't make sense. I'd like a really dumbed down version of how pbxes works and don't see much in the way of simple help for that site. Obviously.....I'm slow to catch on to this stuff. Can anyone point me to a really basic step-by-step how-to for that site?

PBXes is very similiar to your own Asterisk based PBX or private branch exchange.

You configure one or more extensions, which can be a softphone or an ata like a PAP2 or Sipura 1001. You setup these types of extensions as SIP extensions. You can receive and make calls from your extension to other extensions or by using a trunk to phones outside of your PBX. You can also setup "classic" extensions with are for outgoing calls only and are generally reached over one of your outgoing trunks.

Trunks are phone paths provided by voip providers. Trunks can be incoming, outgoing, or both. You configure each provider as a trunk, supplying the provider's proxy, your userid, and your password for the account that you have setup with the provider.

For calls that your place on your PBX you tell the PBX how to route the call if the call is not going to just another extension. You tell the PBX how to route the call in the Outbound Routing configuration section. Routing is determined by the digits that you dial when you place the call.

For trunks that have incoming call capabilities (a DID capability) if you wish the call to go to a specific extension, you can setup Inbound Routing for that trunk. Otherwise, incoming calls from a trunk that you have setup to be registered will go your general pbx number which you have setup under the Incoming Calls configuration section.

There are more features, but the above are the basic features that you use to get going. When you log into your account, on the left panel there is a "Help" button that you can click just above the "Search Forum" box. The help page that comes up discusses extensions, trunks, incoming calls, and outbound routing.
