Default Xpro/xlite, reading username and password

I recently signed up for a provider that uses a softpohone from xten. It appaears it is a newer version of xlite or xpro, however has a very fancy looking telephone interface. This provider will not allow me to program my Sipura, they only support the softphone.

So what I am wondering, since the softphone does not appear to show the settings, is there actually a way to get them out of xlite/xpro? I have heard they are encrypted in the registry in regular versions of xlite/xpro.

mainly what I need is the username and password, I managed to packet sniff the rest

Default ...have you gotten any further?

... I would like to know how you did it - in the case youçve solved it. I have the exact same problem, I want to connect my VOIP account to Asterisk, but need the username/password combination from the softphone application.
Let me know!

Default RE: ...have you gotten any further?

I wanted to post an update here. I have discovered that the branded copy of the xten softphone simply submits a php form. I believe I have the correct URL to make the submission at and the data to submit. The problem that I have is probably simple enough for anyone that knows .php . The problem lies in the formation of the php form submission URL . In fact when I go to the URL I have , it even tells me to submit the ten digit username and password!

what i am tryiong to submit looks something like this

http://brandedphonename.providername...assword&NAT=14
I also tried
http://brandedphonename.providername...assword&NAT=14 as this is how It appeared in the packet I capture when the softphone configured itself.

Clearly, browsing to the URL I have it right

Is this a correct php format, or perhaps is there something that could be changed to submit it differently?

Default Success

I DID IT. The process was actually quite simple. It was me that was stupid when it came to PHP. The xten privately branded phone was trying to make a PHP submission. What I ended up doing was using a program called netcat. It did not really tell me a lot more than I had learned from packet sniffing with Ethereal, however It did give me exactly the text as it was submitting it. See the forums at www.sipbroker.com.

I used a program called absolute telnet and connected to the server on port 80.

After beating my head against the wall, I was ready to give up then read on a web page that a PHP Post has to be followed by an BLANK LINE. So, before I completely gave up, I tried one more time, and the server responded SUCCESS! It then spit out a wealth of configuration info. My heart jumped nearly outta my chest. You will find more info on this in the sipbroker forums www.sipbroker.com
