Like many ex-sunrocket customers, I would like to use my MTA6328-re with another service. I took net2phone up on their offer of giving me a year of service with just paying under $2 a month in taxes/fees.
Like many of you power users I have access to the admin of my 6328 (and my old AC211 which is on my trixbox). I really don't want to use the net2phone firmware then not have access to my sip setting pages and lose control. Like many of you, I didn't even let SR provision my MTA once I had logged into it months ago. Since it's my MTA I don't want to relinquish control of it to net2phone because in the future I may want to switch to another provider or just use it on my trixbox.
Looking at settings on »
web.net2phone.com/partnerships/p···lity.asp
you will find there are many device settings for byod. For example you can find the sip proxy isn't used, sip domain is byod1.net2phone.com user name is acct#, pw is pin, no auth id, they use g723 and g729 codecs etc. Somehow though they must use the MAC address as they ask for that when you sign up byod with the SR 6328 but none of the other byod's use auth id. I thought it might be in the auth id for the 6328 but that didn't register mine either.
Has anyone else played with the settings and gotten it to work without the net2phone firmware? I had 3.077 SR firmware and downgraded it to 3.075.
