Default QoS with SPA-3000

I am interested in the SPA-3000 mainly because of using many outgoing SIP accounts using dialing plans.

However the -3000 does not have QoS and I will need a router which has QoS on at least one port.

Can anyone recommend a suitable router that's not too expensive.

Many thanks,
David

The only router which has QoS is Linksys WRT54G. It costs about 50-70 buks.

I have seen the Dynamode QCM-41 on a web page somewhere but can't find out where to obtain one - or whether it's any good.

The SPA-3000 is an "Analogue Terminal Adapter" (ATA) only, and has no router built-in, or "through" port. It only has a single RJ45 connector, therefore could never manage bandwidth for "other" devices.

Think about it.

As already mentioned above, the Linksys WRT54G, and WRT54GS can do QoS.

Isn't that what I implied myself in my original question, and therefore was asking about a "router" with QoS.

While Sipura ATA's (non-router) does not support QoS, it would be great if they allowed setting IP Diffserv values in the IP header for voice packets so a router downstream would be easily categorize/prioritize these packets.

Also, if Sipura ATA's supported VLAN settings they would be placed in a different VLAN which would enhance the security and priority when using a "managed" switch.

You must have missed the TOS/diffserv settings. They are on the individual Line pages, in the Network Settings section.

Oh yes. You are right. I usually skip over those parameters fast to get to provisioning parameters.

Network Settings
SIP TOS/DiffServ Value:
RTP TOS/DiffServ Value:

Hmm, I wish I am missing the VLAN settings as well somewhere....
